Facility Layout & Design |

Have you outgrown your current facility? Is your facility optimized, making the most of your space? Do you need to redesign your operation because business rules and objectives have changed? These are a few questions that lead companies down the path of facility planning and design. 4SIGHT’s knowledge of operational best practices, combined with our engineering disciplines and methodologies, positions our resources to provide significant value to your facility layout project engagement.

Prior to deploying our proven five-step facility layout and design methodology, an on-site Operations Assessment must be completed. The purpose of the operations assessment is to examine your current operation and deliver a set of actionable recommendations to management. This phase ensures your team has a solid understanding of what opportunities for improvement exist and what options make the most sense economically. Next steps include modeling business changes to your current state, preparing alternative solutions, analyzing the alternatives and impact to your operation, selecting the alternative plan and preparing the deployment plan, and deployment. |

The duration of a facility layout and design engagement is based on a variety of factors. The size and complexity of the project, access to data, facility and system constraints, and the critical need for change affect the overall timeline. The simplest designs may take three-to-four weeks while more detailed designs may take up to two-to-three months. The combination of a proven layout and design methodology along with the right processes, equipment, personnel, and technology will ensure your business is flexible and can easily adapt to business changes and anticipated growth. |
