Integration RoadMap

Vendors today offer their own integration capabilities to connect their product suite of applications with your legacy HOST systems. However, the majority of work to integrate their applications within "YOUR" enterprise is "YOUR" responsibility. They give you the tools to get the job done, but that's where they stop. The responsibility is yours to figure out how to integrate their point solutions with potentially dozens of disparate applications on your end. The question for you still remains, "how do I successfully integrate these applications within my current IT Network, and yet still service the needs of my business?"

That's where we can help. From years of integration experience, and countless deployments integrating disparate applications, 4SIGHT has developed a methodology to assist clients with their integration project needs. Our Integration RoadMap addresses the Business Architecture and Systems Architecture needs prior to Interface Development. Steps in our process include:

      Collect interface file formats
      Identify all associated transaction sets
      Review current-state or architecture
Discuss & document future-state of architecture
Create WBS of interfaces & associated transaction sets
Create use-case flows and sequencing for associated business transactions
Produce estimates for completion of interface designs; prioritize & sequence WBS

      Business Integration
Business Integration, also known as Enterprise Integration, is the ability to integrate the diverse data and information sources both within and outside your enterprise into a single coherent framework.4SIGHTresources have experience integrating commercial software applications with client-side legacy HOST applications so that information can be shared by mission-critical applications such as CRM, OMS, WMS, TMS, material handling systems, and also visibility applications that provide executive information portals.
      Business Process Management Suites (BPM)
The Business Process Management Suite (BPMS) market has significantly evolved over the years. Originally known as Enterprise Applicatin Integration (EAI), the early EAI vendors aggressively pursued new product capabilities that led to the creation of the BPMS category. Some of the features provided by BPM solutions include process simulation, automated process discovery, more sophisticated support for event management related to business event management (BEM) and complex event processing (CEP), and tighter integration of business rules capability. A recent Forrester survey revealed that BPM projects have already become mainstream inside the majority of enterprises. This same survey also found that most of the enterprises were in the early stages of their implementation efforts, but over 80% of the IT architects surveyed felt that the efforts had met or exceeded their expectations. Forrester also projected a $6.3 Billion dollar markety by 2011. This widespread adoption and its early positive results are reasons why 4SIGHT has focused on helping clients with their integration strategies as they continuously expand their enterprise solutions.

The illustration above lists some of the key software vendors that offer BPM suites, as provided by Forrester Research Group. According to Forrester, the BPM market is consolidating from nearly 150 vendors recognized in 2006 to just 25 in 2007. 4SIGHT is in the process of partnering with some of these key vendors to provide a full BPM Service Offering.
